Discovering the Petit Morin by canoe-kayak
Considered the most natural river in the Ile-de-France region, the Petit Morin is an essential circuit for canoeing enthusiasts in Seine-et-Marne. The navigable area of the Petit Morin stretches over 80 km, from Thoult to La Ferté-sous-Jouarre. This narrow and shallow watercourse varies between 3 and 10 metres wide, creating a unique proximity to the surrounding nature. This trip on the water will take you along banks with dense vegetation and allow you to see windmills, horse farms, dams and beautiful residences. Be careful though: when the water is low, the Petit Morin is difficult to navigate. In addition, some natural obstacles along the route will sometimes force you to carry your canoe, which will in no way diminish the charm of your canoeing adventure on the Petit Morin. Although the start of this descent is a little further from our campsite (1 hour 50 minutes), you will undoubtedly appreciate the many rapids it has in store for you.
